Wheels of Tomorrow
Projected Animation
Wheels of Tomorrow is a projected installation piece that I created for my Undergraduate Capstone Exhibition. The animation was created using Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, while the installation was created with an Epson Projector, wooden dowels, and painted wooden gears.

The Inspiration
I created Wheels of Tomorrow specifically for an exhibition named for and themed after the concept of Metamorphosis. Through physical sculpture and the use of gears as a symbol for industrialism, I hoped to juxtapose concepts of old technology with new ones by projecting moving images. Through this, I was able to create a piece that was attention-catching, thought-provoking, and visually satisfying.
